In continuation of my

Despatch 1.58 of 12th August last, I have the honor to inform your Lordship that having addressed. the authorities at Labuan, expressing my inability to send_ to that "Colony Chinese Convicts from Houghing, who, if possible,

were to be artizans and men not convicted of heinous

offences, I received a reply from Mr Scott, the Lieutenant Governor, informing me that he was

willing to receive

any

Chinese Convicts I might be
